The majority of these years were geared toward the betterment of services

immediately, serving as an instructor of Literacy Remediation Education in
the Georgia Prison System. He also returned to Twiggs County and taught a
special education class at Danville Elementary during the 2002-2003 school
year. At the present, he continues to teach and inspire special needs
students at Central State Prison in Macon, Georgia.
During his career, Mr. Smith
served on many committees. These include the Special Education Advisory
Panel of the Georgia Department of Education; the Governor’s Council for
Planning of Inclusion Education, and the Testing Unit Review Panel. He
served numerous times as a test administrator for the TCT.
